It is said that, 'A picture is worth a thousand words' and a Spanish photographer's pictures are proof that the saying is indeed, true! He clicked an incredible series of images of a flock of birds, and it's jaw-dropping. Xavi Bou - the photographer - from Barcelona, captured the movement of a flock of birds in a single frame for his project - Ornitographies - which has been running since 2012.?
He took to Instagram to post the?pictures?he clicked and explained the thought process behind his work - he said that the project is a balance between 'art and science'.?
Here are the pictures:?

These pictures of the birds look more like moving sculptures. Unlike the conventional style of clicking moving objects, Bou condenses several seconds of movement into a single frame. This makes the movement of the birds look like lines and patterns in the sky.
¡®My intention is to capture the beauty of the bird's flight in a single moment, making the invisible visible¡¯, Bou has written on his website. The series has now gone viral on social media and left many people stunned.
Describing the story behind his extraordinary shots, he wrote on one of his pictures, "This is one of the most surprising images I've taken. Driving on a highway through Extremadura, Spain. I saw a large group of cranes flying in formation V. I left the highway at the next exit, just in time to prepare the camera and try to record how they flew over me. Unfortunately because of the fact that the battery was exhausted I could not record that shot, but just a few seconds later those cranes broke the formation to turn on themselves for several seconds, something I had never seen."
People capture the most unusual things on camera, but these for sure, are the most beautiful pictures we have seen in a while!
