Devoid of the usual hustle-bustle, several videos of the canals looking crystal clear have surfaced on the internet and boy, they are a breathtaking sight for sore eyes. Nature is thriving and while Italy has been on lockdown ever since the Coronavirus attacked the European country, Venice's world-renowned canals are going through a never-seen-before change.?
Due to lack of activity on the waterways which has also resulted in less pollution, zoologist Andrea Mangoni captured beauty of the nature which is taking place in the canals. A jellyfish was seen swimming through the waters while humans stay locked up inside their homes.
He posted the video on Instagram with the caption, 'Thanks to the exceptional calm of the canals of?Venice?due to the absence of boats, this?jellyfish (Rhizostoma pulmo) swam in the transparent waters near the Baretteri bridge, and seemed to slip through the reflection of the buildings, incredibly motionless'.
Recently, migratory flamingos showed up in Navi Mumbai in large numbers and residents of the area have requested the authorities to declare it as a Flamingo sanctuary.
