Rey Fenix, who was previously with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), is set to make his WWE debut on SmackDown next week. The Samford-based promotion announced this officially on the latest episode of the ¡®Blue Brand¡¯ much to the delight of fans. It, however, has also led to speculation about his brother Penta¡¯s future as a singles performer. An analyst recently weighed in to this and shared and indicated that Rey Fenix¡¯s debut isn¡¯t necessarily going to affect the WWE¡¯s plans for his brother.?
Penta has been making inroads as a singles competitor in the WWE since he joined the roster earlier this year. He put on a strong showing at the Royal Rumble 2025 and even challenged Bron Breakker for his Intercontinental championship but lost by DQ. Amid this Rey Fenix, his younger brother is set to join the promotion.
?The Mexican stars were part of a tag team called the Lucha Brothers in AEW. Rey¡¯s arrival has led to speculation of them re-forming? their team. This, in turn may result in Penta¡¯s singles push being cut short. However, Raj Giri¨C an analyst and the founder of Wrestling Inc¨C feels this is unlikely to happen.?

Coming back to Penta, he challenged Bron Breakker for the IC title this week on Raw. The two put on a compelling match but it ended prematurely when The Judgement Day interfered and attacked the ¡®Badass¡¯. Dominik Mysterio then tried to get Penta to joun the heel stable but the move backfired. Finn Balor eventually stepped in and helped the group destroy Bron Breakker and the international superstar.
