With the board exam results being announced across the country, stories of students who beat all the odds such as poverty and lack of resources and disability have come to the fore.?
One such story is of a 18-year-old student named?Kanhaiya M from Bengaluru, who scored 72 per cent in the Karnataka Board Class 12 despite suffering from?Muscular Dystrophy, a debilitating health condition. This condition leads to progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass.?

Speaking to TOI, his mother said that over the past three months his conditioned worsened; he could barely sit for more than house on a wheelchair; he lost his voice because of the condition and yet he was hell bent on writing the exams.?
At home, he would study with the help of a glass slab placed above his head and every time he was done with a page, his mother would to come to flip it. The government authorities provided Kanhaiya who is a student of BES PU College a bed and a table to give his exams, and a scribe helped him through it.?
With his condition he couldn't appear for all 100 marks in every subject but he did his best.?

This isn¡¯t the first time Kanhaiya has come out with flying colours. During Class 10 board exams, he had secured 82 per cent.
