What is that one thing we all hate but do not openly criticise (with the exception of some of us) because it might sound insensitive? It is travelling with babies. Now, while we understand that it is not exactly the baby's fault or the parents, it does cause a certain level of annoyance to others.
We cannot control the irritation we experience, especially on long journeys. So, when there are no babies on your flight, it is almost like a blessing.
To ensure that some people can choose to avoid travelling with babies, Scoot, which is an offshoot of Singapore Airlines, is offering passengers to escape the situation altogether.?
Passengers travelling with the airline can now upgrade their seats and sit away in their ScootinSilence section, where children under the age of 12 are not allowed. The price of the upgraded section is only $21 (Rs 1586).?
According to reports, the section is located between rows 21 and 25 and also has extra legroom.?
The website says: "Scoot in peace and quiet when you reserve seats in our ScootinSilence zone located at the front of all our 787 Dreamliners. Besides the exclusive and silent cabin (no kids under 12 allowed here), you can also enjoy additional comfort - every seat comes with an adjustable headrest and you can reserve Super and Stretch seats (where available)!"
"What's more, you'll also be able to get off the aircraft ahead of others upon landing!" it adds.
Speaking at the launch of ScootinSilence back in 2013, Scoot's CEO Campbell Wilson said: "No offence to our young guests or those travelling with them - you still have the rest of the aircraft."?
Currently, Scoot is offering heavy discounts on one-way tickets from London to Bangkok. However, due to tighter restrictions ever since the latest variant Omicron?came into existence, travelling seems unlikely for people.?
