The CBSE - Central Board of Secondary Education has released a notice to confirm its decision to resume evaluation work for board exam result 2020, said that answer sheets would be transported to the residence of evaluators from Tuesday.?
With regards to special permission granted by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the CBSE has been allowed to open 3000 evaluation centres that would be functional for limited purposes of work like answer sheet evaluation and transportation of papers to the residence of evaluators.?
The official note further states that the answer sheets should not be sent to evaluators residing in containment zones - the areas where the entry and exit are sealed. During the evaluation process, national directives for COVID-19 management would be followed strictly. Teachers need to wear protective gear like masks and maintain social distancing.?
The board has started evaluation work for class 10 and 12 board exams 2020 papers within a week after some papers were postponed amid coronavirus pandemic. The report claims the evaluation work for many subjects were still underway when assessment work was stopped during the third week of March. In a circular, the CBSE had suspended all activities due to the coronavirus outbreak in India.
Lockdown has been eased across the nation, CBSE has decided to resume evaluation work. To complete the process considering strict norms of social distancing between two persons, the board has decided to change the three-step process into a single process.?
The report added that all assistant head examiners would be employed in evaluation work. Moreover, coordinators would be responsible for evaluation answer sheets for calculation error or uploading marks.?
The existing answer sheet evaluation is expected to be completed by the end of May or early June. For remaining board exams, CBSE will conduct pending 29 papers from July 1 to 15.
