Tesla chief Elon Musk has regularly voiced his concern about the low fertility rate and he has been of the view that it's the biggest challenge facing mankind.?
After reports began circling that he and Shivon Zilis, a top employee at his brain chip startup Neuralink, had twins in November 2021,?Musk has now responded through?a tweet.?
Musk reiterated concerns about?low birth rate and said he is doing his part in solving the issue.?
"Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far," he tweeted.
"Mark my words, they are sadly true," he said in another tweet.??
?In another tweet, he said: ¡°I hope you have big families and congrats to those who already do!¡±?
Back in May, he tweeted about the US¡¯ falling birth rate and how he was doing his part to keep the numbers afloat.?¡°USA birth rate has been below min sustainable levels for ~50 years,¡± the billionaire wrote?on May 24.?
Musk currently has?nine children - five with his ex-wife, Justine Wilson; two with Zilis, and another two with singer Grimes.?
Musk's latest tweet on population decline has come amid reports that the tech billionaire, fathered twins in November 2021 with 36-year-old Canadian Shivon Zilis, an executive at Neuralink, Musk's brain-implant maker.??
In a report, Business Insider had stated that in April, Musk and Zilis filed a petition to change the name of the twins to ¡°have their father's last name¡± and contain their mother's last name as part of their middle name.? ?
Last month,SpaceX founder's transgender daughter who recently turned 18 filed a petition in a California court to change her name and gender identity to female.
She cited "the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form" as one of the reasons for the name change, according to the court document.
