In a bid to help those suffering after the floods that have ravaged the city of Patna, an 11-year-old broke her piggy bank to donate money.?
The girl named?Shreya Siddhi was so moved by the people stranded and struggling in the floods caused by heavy rain that she?decided to donate Rs 11, 000 from her savings to help them.
According to an ANI report,?Shreya went with her father Rajiv Ranjan met Madhepur MP Pappu Yadav and handed over the amount. Yadav was distributing relief material among those struggling to cope after the floods.?
There are only a handful like Shreya Siddhi who are willing to go out of the way to help those in dire need.??
In a similar incident, an 8-year-old girl broke open her piggy bank to help flood affected victims of Kerala in 2018. Reports state that Anupriya, a Class 2 student, had been saving money since four years to buy a bicycle. But she decided to give it all away to those who need it the most.?
She had saved Rs 8,246, her father added some more to donate Rs 9,000 to Chief Minister's Disaster Relief Fund.
