There¡¯ssimply no way of making plans with your friends or dear ones up until May 3 - in fact, you should not even be trying to do that. But as India enters into the second phase of the country-wide lockdown, many are getting anxious to go out again.
So much so,some are devising plans to meet their friends, and are using social media to do that.?Might we point out that this a terrible idea, because it¡¯s no longer a secret? Three Puneboys were bored out of their wits, that they used Twitter to plan to meet each other.
Little didthey know that their conversation would be interrupted by the Punepolice themselves! Here¡¯s what happened:
Twitter user named Parth @ParthEkaltweeted that May 3 was too far away and he couldn't abide by the lockdown regulations for that long. To his tweet, anotheruser named Indrajeet replied, they can meet sometime before. 'Jaggu, wecan meet right now. You stay 1 street across. Tu bol fkta kadhi (You just tellwhen!)'. The conversation continued as follows:
#1
#2
#3
When thefirst user Parth said, they could meet right now as they live just one streetacross, Pune Police intercepted their conversation and asked whether they could join. This tweet caught Pune Police's attention, who then re-tweetedit with a rather savage reply. 'Hey! Even we'd like to join and give youcompany for longer! Tumhi saanga fakt kuthe ani kadhi. (You just tell us whenand where)', the official Twitter handle wrote.
On Twitter,Pune Police have established a named for themselves with their witty responses
They havebeen answering all sorts of questions people have, regarding the lockdown. In one instance, a Twitter user asked the department what would happen if they went out - to which the police came up with a witty yet powerful reply.
'Whatif we put you inside? If we put someone in jail without any cause would it benice? So, how is going outside without a reason alright?' reads their replywhen translated from Hindi. With this the Pune police team has made itabundantly clear that you just cannot and should not mess with them!
