During a difficult time like this, stories about kindness?are what we need to keep our faith in humanity. People helping out others right now is how the world is managing to keep up with all the challenges that are coming its way.
This 80-year-old coolie at the Lucknow railway station is one such person making a difference. The elderly man named Mujibullah is lending a helping hand to migrant workers by carrying their luggage for free, reported ANI.
He has been working for 8-10 hours on a daily basis and carrying 50 kg of weight which is a lot for a man of his age. He calls it 'khidmat' and believes that it is his duty to help out the migrant workers and that the same is very important to him.?
Not just this but Mujibullah is also providing food and water to the passengers on the trains. He feels that money can be earned later when things become stable but right now, volunteering to help is way more important than anything else.
The number of stories about such kind and generous people have been coming to our notice quite frequently ever since the pandemic began and it's heartwarming to know that there are people like Mujibullah who are keeping others' well-being before their own.
This also proves that a man does not need to rich and in power to help out others. Anyone can do anything as long as their heart is in the right place.?
This reminds us of the kind 80-year-old lady from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu who continues to sell idlis for Re 1 even during lockdown when?it has been difficult to get supplies. Her purpose is to feed the poor and she is doing that by keeping the cost of her food extremely low like she has always done.
Kindness goes a long way.
