While some parents chose to leave the scar alone and let their child embrace the 'flaw', some others choose to get it treated and Luna's mother Carol Fenner flew halfway around the world, from Florida to Russia, in search of the best surgeon.?
Luna¡¯s mother, Carol, told South West News Service (SWNS), a British news agency, she was in ¡°complete shock¡± when her now almost 7-month-old daughter was born, noting it took several days for doctors to determine what the marking was caused by.¡°My last ultrasound before the birth had revealed nothing abnormal,¡± she said.
Luna was completely healthy when she arrived but the dark birthmark covered a third of her face and resembles that of Batman mask and people dubbed her a little superhero.?
