Your house should reflect your personality, as they say. A man from the UK took this too seriously and doodled all over his 12 crore mansion.?The images of the house have obviously gone viral. Check out the images here.
The doodler, Sam Cox, from the UK, has mastered the art of doodling, and this doodle-covered mansion is proof enough.?The artist has covered his entire house in black and white doodles, including the furniture, plug sockets, appliances, and even his car.?
The artist purchased his house in Kent, UK in 2019. Just two months later, he decided to give his house a makeover. He painted it all white. While many thought it might be a minimalistic approach, the artist had something else in mind. In September 2020, the 26-year-old began covering his house with doodles. The self-initiated project did not stop till he covered every corner of his house in black and white doodles.
Most of the house is doodled with hands, but a few things are digitally created. "There are only a few things which we had to get printed, like the bedsheets, because we had to make sure they were washable, also the shower curtains and the towels. Ninety-nine per cent of the stuff is hand-doodled, which is really important to me," the artist shared.?
In one of his Instagram posts, the artist informed us that he used 900 litres of white paint, 401 cans of black spray paint (for the outside), 286 bottles of black drawing paint (for the inside) and 2296 pen nibs (I only used four different sized pens but they were refillable and the nibs were replaceable)".
One might assume that all the rooms are randomly doodled, but in fact, all the rooms are uniquely designed depending on the usage of space to create a specific mood. "It wasn't too difficult to think of themes for each room as I'd been thinking about it since I was a teenager," he said.
He added, "I'd had years of looking at houses and thinking what I could do in each room. When this house went on the market I was instantly drawn to it and I thought about how I could separate each space and create a theme for each room. It was a fun process."??
