India's Got Latent's latest members-only episode featuring India's top YouTubers, such as Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as the BeerBiceps, is receiving a massive outrage on social media because of their offensive and obscene comments on the show. But the problems seem to be far-reaching and beyond social media, as a complaint has been filed against the show by a verified handle on X (formerly called Twitter), under the name Hindu IT cell, whose bio describes it as "A Registered group under Trust act.Motto is to protect our Dharma legally.Founders : @Rajput_Ramesh @MODIfiedVikas"
Another complaint has been filed against Ranveer and Samay with the Mumbai Commissioner and Maharashtra Women's Commission for allegedly using abusive language on the show. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has warned that strict action will be taken against Ranveer Allahbadia. Action will be taken if the limit has been crossed....freedom of speech can't be taken for granted," he said.
As soon as the clips of Ranveer Allahbadia making vulgar jokes about someone's parents started making rounds on the internet, netizens on social media questioned the freedom of speech and censorship on such platforms.
The controversy began from the time the latest episode of the show aired. The latest episode featured no filter and included racist remarks, sexual jokes, and outrageous objectification, which sparked concerns regarding the freedom of speech.
Following the outrage hours later, an official complaint was filed by the Hindu IT cell. The Hindu IT cell took to their X (formerly called Twitter) account and shared a post informing that a complaint has been filed against Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia, who have been registered with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.?
The complaint has been filed by Akshit Singh for 'promoting obscenity.'
Amid the ongoing social media rage against comedian Samay Raina and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, many social media users demand to ban the show. One user wrote, "I am unsubscribing @BeerBicepsGuy @ReheSamay now. I know it won't matter to them. I joined YouTube from Print to give inspiring sports videos & followed them for fun and inspiration before they came out with this shit. Sorry can't see them ruin our youth"
"Me too just unsubscribed, and urge the people to show them their level," another wrote.?
A user mentioned, "Unsubscribed @BeerBicepsGuy and @ReheSamay, all YouTube channels."
The member-only episode included popular YouTubers, including Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija who were present at the India's Got Latent stage.?
