Gujarat Titans (GT) rocked Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Powerplay with two early wickets after putting them in to bat first in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash. Mohammed Siraj gave GT an excellent start by removing Ryan Rickelton on the second ball of the match.
Fans still held out hope, as Rohit Sharma!who had recently returned to form!was at the crease. However, Arshad Khan dismissed the 'Hitman' for 7 off 8 balls. This wicket made the Wankhede Stadium go quite and reduced them to 26/2 in 3.3 overs. Interestingly, GT dropped many catches after taking Rohit's wicket.
Many took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to troll the batter, with several stating that Rohit Sharma is back to his usual low scores.?One said, "Rohit Sharma hitting the 'back to basics' button again."
Another wrote, "Rohit Sharma really thought he was going to do something... Pal, you scored three fifties this season and they came against the 8th, 9th, and 10th placed teams. We are table toppers, pal."
One commented, "Rohit Sharma looks like a cakewalk wicket... But his PR is so, so strong. I love Rohit Sharma, but it's too much."
Another added, "And just like that, the so-called `back in form¨ Rohit Sharma chooses the perfect match to humiliate Hardik... Won¨t be surprised if some in-form players fail today."
