Sometimes an unexpected stroke can end up scoring big on the field. Something of the sort happened with Akshay Narisetti, a software designer, back when he was still a student at college. He created an automated robotic system that could play the Google Chrome Dino Game in his stead and caught the attention of the tech giant, Google.
A few years back, while Akshay was still studying for his fourth-semester exams, he came up with an ingenious plan to program a little robotic arm that could take over the work his fingers would normally toil to do on his laptop¡¯s spacebar.?
We all have spent some time wondering what the higher levels of the Dino Game look like. Akshay though plugged a few wires together and attached these wires to another computer that had the code governing the whole operation.?
It was not just people on Linkedin who were impressed by Akshay¡¯s attempt at his own DIY robotic helper, the project even caught Google¡¯s attention. The software engineer claimed in a recent Tweet that his Dino Game concoction had gotten him a job interview at the prestigious multinational. He announced as he posted the video of his setup, ¡°This Project got me an interview at Google.¡±
It is unclear if the SRM graduate got the Google offer or not but currently, Akshay is working with Questbook in Hyderabad. People online were beyond impressed by the engineer¡¯s efforts.?
One user asked Akshay how he came up with the idea, to which the engineer replied, ¡°The idea itself might not be original, but the implementation is, electronics is how I learnt coding. I first coded on an Arduino before coding on an actual computer. I got to embrace the computer capabilities that way. Then rest is curiosity in all kinds of technology.¡±
Another user complimented the user, ¡°Wow, really impressed. This was the coolest thing ive seen on my twitter feed this entire week. Congratulations!¡±
While one fellow software engineer commented, ¡°Seriosuly, now I guess I should get back to my Arduino. Once used it to create a plant watering system.¡±
