But they weren't the only ones making the most of this situation.
Reportedly, this teen from Leeds charged fellow students 50p (Rs 42) for a 'squirt' of hand sanitiser he was carrying but he was found suspended from school for a day.
13-year-old Oliver Cooper picked up a ?1.60 (Rs 151) tub of Johnson's child hand wash from a Tesco store in Leeds.?He made a quick ?9 (Rs 850) from that single tub after charging people to use the cleansing product.?
Oliver, goes to Dixon's Unity Academy. He has been put in isolation for a day followed by a two-hour detention after allegedly breaching school rules.?Here is an even more surprising part: his parents, instead of scolding him, praised his enterprising skills and argued with the school about his one-day exclusion.?
¡°Other people at school sell stuff like chewing gum, if somebody wants something, they will pay for it. Loads of people wanted this,¡± the boy was quoted as saying by Daily Mail.?
His mother said, ¡°I don't think it's an excludable offence. I told him off so that when we go into school, I can tell his head of year that I have told him it's wrong.
"I think they see it as him exploiting a situation, but his step dad called him a legend halfway through me telling him off so that put a stop to it. He's like my little Del Boy, I won't be punishing him any further,¡± she added.
