It's been a few years since Justin Bieber stepped back from the music scene, and fans have been eagerly awaiting his return. The pop sensation's hiatus began in June 2022 when he revealed his diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that affects the nerves in the face and can cause paralysis, hearing loss, and other symptoms.
Since then, Bieber has been focusing on his health and recovery, taking time to rest and recharge. He's also been soaking up every moment with his adorable son, Jack Blues, since his arrival in August 2024. But, it seems like the singer is all set to make a comeback this year.
According to a new report, Bieber's been working behind the scenes, securing a new high-power attorney, cooking up new music, and even considering hitting the road again with a new tour. The report claimed that though the singer has always been passionate about music, his upcoming comeback is driven by his financial woes.
?In the recent edition of his newsletter What I'm Hearing, entertainment journalist and podcaster Matthew Belloni is poised to make a comeback in 2025. He claimed that Bieber needs the money, and his team is motivated by financial concerns, including unpaid fees from his cancelled Justice World Tour. "I¡¯m told Bieber needs the money and wants to work,¡± he wrote.
Despite receiving a whopping $200 million from selling his music catalogue in January 2023, the Baby singer still has significant debt to pay off. According to Belloni's newsletter, Bieber owes AEG, the promoter of his cancelled Justice World Tour, a substantial amount of money, and his comeback is expected to save his dwindling finances.
Back in September, music producer Mk.gee confirmed that he had been working with Bieber on new material. "Anything that comes out of his mouth: That¡¯s pop music. You can really do pretty wild stuff behind that, just because it represents something," Mk.gee revealed. However, the music producer did not reveal a timeline for the release of Justin Bieber's new music.
Justin Bieber's last studio album, Justice, was released in 2021 and marked his sixth studio album. The album was a commercial success and featured several hit singles, including Peaches, Holy, and Anyone. Peaches was a particularly big hit, featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon, and debuted at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.?
