Katy Perry has been in the media spotlight for the past few days because of her recent participation in an all-female Blue Origin space mission. However, it seems the move hasn't sat well with everyone, as several Hollywood celebrities took a dig at Katy and called it painfully out of touch. Apart from this, most recently, American singer-songwriter and actress Miley Cyrus's brother, Trace Cyrus, took a swipe at Katy, accusing her of attempting to mimic his sister's career.
Trace recently took to his Instagram account to share an angry video rant directed towards Katy, claiming that she tried to copy his sister's career. In the post, Trace said, ¡°I first knew Katy Perry and her team were lame as f**k when her career was first dying, and they were like, ¡®Hm, what can we do? Well, what worked for Miley?"
He went on to say, She cut her hair off, and it broke the internet. Everyone freaked out when she bleached it blonde. "We should do that with you, Katy," he added.
Trace then went on to criticise Katy Perry by saying that she tried to follow Miley's career path. She tried working with artists like Mike WiLL Made-It, Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, and even Migos; she mimicked Miley's transition into hip-hop, but unlike his sister, nothing really worked for her.
"It's not working. It's backfiring. Stop.¡± However, Miley has not commented on the same so far.
The previous week, Katy Perry joined a six-woman team in Jeff Bezos' private spaceflight start-up, Blue Origin, including Lauren Sanchez, television host Gayle King, film producer Kerianne Flynn, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe and civil rights activist and research scientist Amanda Nguyen for an 11-minute trip to space.
It was the first spaceflight to have an all-female crew in 60 years.?
