Sunday was a day for Delhi Capitals (DC), as they marked a dramatic victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 7 wickets. Well, this was not only the special moment from the SRH vs. DC match held on March 30, 2025; there was another special moment for Delhi Capitals as KL Rahul made his comeback and played his debut with the team.
As we all know, KL Rahul has recently embraced parenthood as he and his wife, Athiya Shetty, welcomed their first child. And this was the reason why KL Rahul missed his opening fixtures of the IPL 2025 edition against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
Now, when the 32-year-old cricketer was back in Visakhapatnam for the second fixture against Sunrisers Hyderabad, the return turned out to be a happy one as the franchise won the contest on Sunday. Amid this, a video circulating online is claimed to be from a day before the fixture against SR, when Rahul was spotted talking to Nitish Kumar Reddy during the training session about KL Rahul's baby.
The video of the duo talking about the middle-order batter becoming a father is now going viral on social media. In the video, SRH's all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy can be seen congratulating KL Rahul on the big moment in his life.
Nitish Kumar Reddy asks KL Rahul, "How is your baby? Cute."
To which KL Rahul replied by saying, "Obviously, I will say cute." Then he also indicated with a hand gesture how small the baby is now.
During the video capture, the joy and happiness on KL Rahul's face can be easily visible.
As soon as the video surfaced on the internet, netizens quickly took to X (formerly called Twitter) to share their thoughts on the cute moment.
One user said, "Not him showing how small baby is?????"
"Rahul "Obviously I would say she is cute" ??and the way he was showing him how smol she is ?"
"That video in which KL Rahul is describing his baby, that's so adorable" No nazar pls??"
"KL Rahul and Delhi Capitals have been incredibly fortunate with his baby luck!"
