The Wonder of India, the romanticized monument ¡®Taj Mahal¡¯ is being given a special treatment in honor of the US President Donald Trump¡¯s visit. The Yamuna River just behind the monument is also given 17 million liters of water to make it look a little more appealing.?
After building a wall in Ahmedabad?to hide the slums areas from the view of the president, India is undertaking another project before US President Donald Trump's visit. This is the first time in 300 years that the graves are being cleaned since the actual installation happened. The treatment on the Taj Mahal involved the application of a thick layer of clay followed by the wash with distilled water.?
The interesting part is the clay which is used in the cleaning of the monument is originally derived? from the traditional face pack Indian women use to appear cleaner and fairer. The Taj Mahal itself has been cleaned with the clay pack treatment five times, but the replicas of the graves were never cleaned. The real graves of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal are situated in the chamber below the replicas.?
Donald Trump who has to visit the Taj Mahal with his wife, daughter and son-in-law, during his visit to India which is starting today February 24 2020. Trump with his family may not visit the actual grave as it is because the entrance of the same is five feet high.
Trump¡¯s security team, which visited the Taj Mahal recently, said that he will not bow down, even if it is to see a 17th century old grave.?
The original Taj Mahal graves are opened three days a year for the public to commemorate the death anniversary of Shah Jahan who also claims to be a descendant of Bahadur Shah Zafar. He was the last Mughal Emperor, and also visited the graves to give lineage to the Mughals.?
The Archaeological survey of India (ASI), which is undertaking this project is cleaning everything, even the dark spots on the walls and on the floors. The chandelier above the grave is also being cleaned with tamarind water.?
Trump¡¯s visit to the city of Agra, where the Taj Mahal is located, is a high-security event that has brought too many preparations with it.?
The Yamuna river which is just behind the Taj Mahal is recently cleaned and has also received 17 million liters of water. Trump will reportedly be welcomed by dancers at the airport and the Taj Mahal will be closed for tourists on the day of Trump¡¯s visit. There is a wall from the airport which is also painted with different cultural heritage to showcase the Indian culture. To protect Donald Trump from monkeys in Agra, five langurs (large monkeys) will be deployed to make sure no monkeys attack the guests.
Trump is scheduled to visit 24-25 February to meet the Indian Prime Minister Narender Modi.?
