The buzz around Single's Inferno Season 4 is still going strong, even after the last episode premiered over a week ago. The show's most popular couple, Lee Si An and Yuk Jun Seo, have been under intense scrutiny from fans and viewers. Si An, a former K-pop idol trainee and model, has been targeted with misogynistic remarks. On the other hand, Jun Seo has been accused of being rude, with many criticizing his behavior on the show. The couple's relationship has been put under a microscope, with fans analyzing every move they make and every word they say.
However, over time, fans are finding new details about Lee Sian and Yuk Jun Seo's relationship. Newly released clips from Netflix show the couple being super affectionate and playful with each other, with Jun Seo even sweet-talking to Lee Sian. Fans of the show are now blaming the editors and producers of the show for willingly chopping off their scenes to create drama around their pairing.
A recently released unreleased clip of the famous bed scene between Lee Si An and Yuk Jun Seo has sparked a heated debate about the show's editing. The original bed scene between the two that was released on Netflix had caused controversy, but this new clip reveals a more playful and lighthearted dynamic between them.
In the unreleased footage, Si An and Jun Seo are seen joking and teasing each other, with Si An pretending she wouldn't choose Jun Seo again and Jun Seo showing genuine interest in getting to know her better. He asks her about her childhood and even jokes that she would beat him in wrestling, showcasing his lesser-known affectionate side.
The clip reveals a strong chemistry and playful energy between the two, which was not fully captured in the original edit. Netizens have now hit back at the show's "evil editing," feeling that the producers misrepresented the couple's relationship and personalities to stir some drama, knowing they were the two popular contestants.
Calling out the editors and producers of the show for chopping off their scenes, one fuming Reddit user shared a post that read, "The producers/editors really set both of them up for hate this season. It¡¯s frustrating how they consistently edited out their sweet moments in favor of creating ¡°drama¡± that no one asked for. Sian was subjected to every misogynistic insult in the book, and Junseo was accused of being a predator in 56 languages, all because the editors deliberately chose to omit scenes showing their connection. "
Responding to the post, one person wrote, "Hot take¡ªnever ever felt they deserved such hate even with the editing as is. Of course I agree that the editing definitely was done to hide how close they really were; I don¡¯t think what was shown justified the hate."
Another wrote, "The bed scene, they literally didn't even do anything, and he was comforting Sian because she was bawling her eyes out, but they blew this whole big thing up, which led to people calling Sian mean names and calling Junseo a womanizer, like WHAT??? You all take it way too far for no reason. It got people reacting way too overboard knowing that half these people never watched the full thing and are jumping on the reaction bandwagon."
A third commented. "Honestly, the editors and Netflix could release a bonus episode with just Junseo and Sian. They get extra viewership; people get better glimpses. No brainer, right? (lol wishful thinking, I know...I will stay hoping that at least a few more unreleased clips come out with them together!)"
One Redditor commented, "They both absolutely deserve an apology from the production team. I strongly believe if they would mix the screen time with other pairs and show us more interactions among the participants like friendship, doing chores together, and having fun together, then Sian and Junseo wouldn¡¯t receive that much hate, and we could truly enjoy their chemistry! Evil editing ruined the interest in the show and left a bad aftertaste. It could be one of the best seasons with real couples emerging for the first time in 4 seasons, yet they lost that chance."
Meanwhile, some users also came out in the show's defense, pointing out that it's a show for entertainment purposes that is supposed to make edits to make things appear more interesting.
