While preparations for the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya are?in full swing, a new claim has surfaced:?a 57-year-old postal stamp?from Nepal?featuring Lord Ram and Sita allegedly predicted the year of the consecration ceremony.
The stamp, reportedly issued on April 18, 1967, to celebrate?Ram Navami?features the year 2024 in the Vikram Samvat Hindu calendar, which is used in Nepal and certain parts of India.?The current year coincides with the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony, which explains the keen interest in this claim.
But here's the truth: The Vikram Samvat calendar is 57 years ahead of the?Gregorian calendar.?The year 1967 as per the?Gregorian calendar?corresponds to 2024 in Vikram Samvat, which is why "2024" appears on the stamp from?1967.?
The year of issue of the postal stamp from Nepal coincides with the year of the inauguration of the temple, a remarkable fact on its own. For some devotees, the realisation that 57 years ago, the stamp did?in a way?predict Lord Ram's return to Ayodhya in 2024 is one more thing to be happy about.
A major arrival from Ahmedabad is a 56-inch-tall drum that produces a majestic lion-like sound when played. Ayodhya witnessed a drum procession, and it will shortly be installed in the temple.
In the approaching Pran Pratishtha ceremony, an eight-metal conch will play an important role at Lord Ram's feet. Satya Prakash Prajapati of Aligarh kindly donated this conch to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which oversees temple building.?
Trust chairman Mahant Nritya Gopal Das expressed gratitude for the notable act, emphasizing the importance of Lord Ram's presence in his birthplace.?
