In another devastating incident, an ambulance driver wearing a PPE kit fainted while he was ferrying COVID-19 patients to a hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district.
The unfortunate incident took place on Monday when four widows from the Vidhwa Ashram were being transported to KN medical college after they tested positive for the virus, reported Times of India. Everyone else present in the ambulance escaped without any harm.?

Healthcare workers and other COVID-19 warriors who have been wearing these PPE kits have said that they are very suffocating and the heat makes matters worse. Reportedly, this is the fifth time such an incident has taken place when an ambulance driver has fainted while ferrying patients.?

?Last month, two people died after they had gone to perform the last rites of their uncle in Jammu district. The duo were wearing PPE kits at the cremation and reportedly collapsed due to dehydration. The temperature in Jammu was 42 degrees Celsius on that day.?
Jammu district magistrate, Sushma Chauhan, said in an order, ¡°Two persons accompanying the body (COVID-related death) became unconscious and subsequently passed away under mysterious circumstances. It is imperative to probe into the circumstances leading to the unfortunate death of two persons by ordering magisterial inquiry."

According to the victims' family, they had requested officials to arrange for the cremation of the COVID-19 victim but the administration failed to provide them with anything.
This led to a delay in the cremation which further led to the two people fainting due to dehydration while wearing the PPE kits under the scorching sun.?
