His most recent share is an excellent addition to that category. It depicts a stunning view of the Earth from space. The "single lightning strike" shown in the photo is very intriguing.
Matthew Dominick, a US Navy commander, joined NASA?a few years ago. He was sent to the International Space Station in March and is due to return after around six months.?
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of San Diego and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.? ??

He included a close-up shot in a subsequent post on the same X topic. "The way the lightning illuminates the clouds makes it look like a nebula to me (left side of the larger image above)," he reported.?
