Abhinav Arora, famously known as child 'guru' is no stranger to the limelight, but the 10-year-old Delhi-based spiritual YouTuber has found himself in the center of a fiery online controversy. Facing relentless trolling and even alleged death threats, Abhinav has turned to the judiciary to combat the wave of negativity directed at him.
The saga began after a video emerged from an event in Vrindavan last year. In the clip, spiritual leader Jagadguru Rambhadracharya was seen reprimanding the young YouTuber on stage. However, Abhinav clarified that despite the scolding, he received blessings from Rambhadracharya later. The video¡¯s viral circulation, however, turned the tide against him, sparking a storm of hate comments and threats from several social media users.
On October 30, Abhinav filed an application through his lawyer, Pankaj Arya, requesting legal action against the YouTubers accused of orchestrating the trolling campaign. Named individuals include prominent creators like Ankit Patel, Shwetaabh Gangwar, Rakesh Kumar, Anurag Joshi, Abhijeet Vaishnav, Nitan, Devansh Kanabar, and unidentified others.
During the court proceedings on Friday, Arya highlighted that the trolling wasn¡¯t just targeted at Abhinav but was also an attack on Sanatana Dharma. He assured that the legal team was ready to escalate the matter to the High Court or even the Supreme Court if necessary. The lawyer further demanded that an FIR be filed against the accused YouTubers.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Gaurav Utsav Raj¡¯s court has now requested a report from the cyber cell to investigate the accusations. The next hearing is slated for January 3.
Abhinav, in his statements, expressed dismay over the trolling and revealed that it had taken a severe toll on his mental well-being. Despite his young age, he¡¯s showing remarkable resilience, vowing to stand firm against those who attempt to tarnish his reputation.
The court case has sparked a larger debate around the ethics of social media trolling, especially when it targets minors. With his legal battle ongoing, Abhinav has become a symbol of resilience, taking a stand not just for himself but also for the values he represents.
