A 90-year-old man was looted by burglars in Srinagar. The old local vendor in the city was robbed of his life's savings which he had kept for his funeral. However, in a kind gesture, a senior police officer came to his rescue.?
The elderly man named Abdul Rehman is a roadside channa seller in the Bohri Kadal area of the city where he was robbed of his personal savings by the burglars on Saturday.
According to reports, the robbers beat up Rehman, and took away his Rs 1 lakh which he had kept with him so that he does not misplace it.
Saddened by the incident, Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Chaudhary decided to help Rehman out. The police officer gave Rehman Rs 1 lakh from his own pocket.?
The kind gesture has made netizens praise the senior officer on social media.

Police have registered a case to nab the accused and investigations are underway.?
