A Delhi-based startup founder has been hiring "left, right, and centre" for various roles at her "content-as-a-service" company, Entourage, which she launched in 2023. As CEO, Ananya Narang posted a screenshot of a job application she got on social media. The job application she received on LinkedIn was created with AI, as the candidate failed to update the placeholders with their appropriate abilities and expertise.
Narang also posted a screenshot of the cover letter on LinkedIn, telling job seekers, "Can we please use AI 'not-blindly'?" She informed me, "I've been hiring left, right & centre and texts like these are literally 1 out of 5 applications."?
Though the job application began and finished properly, the second paragraph indicated that it was written using AI when the candidate failed to edit the placeholders.
