Jewellery worth more than ?10 million ($12.5 million) was taken from an affluent London residence, and the victims are now offering prizes of up to ?1.5 million for information leading to the suspect's arrest and conviction.Some of the stolen jewellery is thought to have belonged to Shafira Huang, a high-profile art collector and multimillionaire influencer.?
Metropolitan Police say the criminal stole into a residence on Avenue Road in north London on December 7. The house's residents were away at the time.According to authorities, the suspect stole ?150,000 worth of Hermes Crocodile Kelly handbags, ?15,000 in cash, and ?10.4 million in bespoke jewels.
The suspect is thought to be a man in his late 20s or 30s. He broke into the residence through a second-floor window, dressed in a dark hoodie, cargo pants and a baseball cap.?
The items seized during the break-in included jewel-encrusted necklaces, a 10.73-carat diamond ring, Chopard diamond earrings, and Hermes Crocodile Kelly handbags totalling ?150,000 (?1.6 crore).
The suspect stole pink sapphire earrings fashioned like butterflies from Katherine Wang, two butterfly diamond rings from De Beers, other pieces from the high-end Van Cleef & Arpels, and two gold bracelets from Chrome Hearts while operating alone.Several pieces were unique and identified.
A family representative told the Metro that the heist was a "pre-planned professional job," and that all of the house's windows were shuttered when the suspect broke in on December 7 evening.?
