Devotees are often concerned about finding the most favourable moment for significant rituals, and they frequently seek guidance on this matter. People should consult the Shubh Muhurat (auspicious time) for setting up the Kalash before initiating Ghatasthapana. On the first day of Navratri, the Abhijeet Muhurat holds special significance, as it aligns with the Chitra Nakshatra and Vaidhriti Yoga. It's important to note that Ghatsthapana is considered inauspicious during this Nakshatra and Yoga.?

Shailputri, in Sanskrit, is the combination of two words - 'Shail' which means mountains and 'Putri' which means daughter. She is the daughter of the Himalayas and the pictorial depiction of Maa Shailputri shows her holding a trident (Trishul) in her right hand and a lotus flower in her left, with a crescent on her forehead.
