Sachin Tendulkar recently visited Kashmir for the first time and appeared to be astounded by the region's natural beauty. Tendulkar, accompanied by his wife Anjali and daughter Sara, also visited a bat manufacturing facility at Charsoo on the Srinagar-Jammu route and spoke with the workers.?
Tendulkar posted a video from the family trip to his Instagram, calling India's northernmost location as "closest to heaven on earth."?
"We were busily creating bats when a vehicle came to our gate. "We were pleasantly surprised to find the Little Master and his family," Mohammad Shaheen Parray, owner of MJ Sports, told PTI.?
"He stroked a few bats and was satisfied with the quality. Tendulkar stated that he had come to compare the Kashmir willow bats with those made of English willow. We asked him to speak up in support of the local bats," Parray added, adding that the batting legend agreed to assist the Kashmir willow bats.??
Sachin Tendulkar is widely regarded as one of the best batsmen in cricket history, and he remains the most prolific run-getter. During his illustrious career, he amassed a record 34,327 runs in 664 matches, including 200 Tests, 463 ODIs, and one T20I.?
Tendulkar is also the only batsman in international cricket history to have scored a century of hundreds. He scored 51 Tests and 49 ODI centuries.?
