Ramadan or Ramzan is a festival that is celebrated with a lot of joy and fervour by Muslims across the globe.
During the month of Ramadan, people observe Roza (without even drinking water for 30 days). Ramadan is also a time when people break their Roza together to celebrate the festival with their friends, family and loved ones.
Ramadan 2023 started on March 23 and ended on April 22 and Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated on the evening of April 23 or April 24.
Muslim community observes fast or Roza from dawn to dusk. Roza has two parts, one is Sehri - the meal that one consumes?before daybreak and the second one is known as Iftaar - when people break the Roza - the meal that is eaten after sunset. People make elaborate meals for Iftaar. People also invite their friends and loved ones over for Iftaar and it is quite a grand affair.
At the end of the month of Ramadan, Muslims make some donations to disadvantaged people. These donations have to be made before starting the celebrations for Eid.
Therefore, it is important to keep a check on the time for Sehri and Iftaar. Here, take a look at the Sehri and Iftar timetable during Ramadan for Lucknow:
