Conde Nast Traveller's survey ranked Sydney the world's best city. The top ten worldwide cities rankings are part of the publication's annual Readers' Choice Awards for 2024, which began on October 1 in the United Kingdom. Conde Nast Traveller UK complimented Sydney, which scored first with a score of 92.26, for its "unique, indoor-outdoor way of life".?
Sydney outperformed tourism hotspots from five continents, including Valencia, Spain (92.78), Singapore (92.47), Hong Kong (91.72), and Stockholm, Sweden (91.11), which finished second to sixth, respectively.
According to the New York Post, Sydney was also rated the world's second-most friendly city, with a score of 93.85, behind only Singapore with 94.84 points, while The Fullerton, a Sydney hotel, was named the greatest hotel in Australia.
