We often hear of people fighting over religion, but there are a lot of stories of love and harmony too. There are people who know what it means to be human and to respect someone else's faith even if they do not follow the same.
A Muslim family has been looking after a church for about 100 years in Pakistan. In the mountainous Hazada District town of Nathia Galiyat, stands Pakistan¡¯s St. Mathew¡¯s Church whose caretakers have passed down custodianship of the establishment from generation to generation.
The church is currently looked after by Waheed Murad, the third generation of caretakers in his family. He has been looking after the church for 17 years now after his grandfather cared for it for about 35 years and his father for 45 years.
Due to the lack of the Christian population, the government also does not release funds for this church. Speaking to the local media, Murad said, "We believe in all messengers of God and believe in all the holy books, hence we give the same respect to this church, as we give to our mosque."
This goes on to show that it's not about religion, it is about love, respect and compassion.?
