Elon Musk, a tech millionaire, chastised venture investor Vinod Khosla for not allowing "plebs" on a public beach near his home. This comes after Khosla criticized Elon Musk for his climate-talk masterclass with Donald Trump. In August, he described his opinions on CO2 ppm (parts per million) levels and their repercussions as "dumb".
In a post, Musk said, "Wow, so crazy that @vkhosla put this sign on a public beach." He also included a picture of the sign that reads "no plebs allowed".?
In a subsequent comment, Musk stated that Vinod intends to deploy tens of thousands of unvetted migrants to small towns across America, yet he refused even to allow the public to go on his beach.
In another comment, the tech billionaire added, "I¡¯m throwing a party on Vinod¡¯s beach! For cuisine, I¡¯m thinking BBQ."?
According to sources, the Khoslas paid a staggering $32.5 million for a seaside mansion in 2008. To prevent the general public from using that access point to get to the beach, he immediately installed a gate on the road that leads to the cove.?
Given that Khosla owns the land, his attorneys contend that the gate is legal; nonetheless, many disagree.?
Following a protracted legal battle, the case reached the US Supreme Court in 2018, where the justices declined to hear Khosla's appeal, confirming a lower court judgment.?
Khosla is also facing criticism from the State Lands Commission, a California government agency, for his plans to close the beach to the public.
