Actor Wamiqa Gabbi, who was recently seen in Baby John alongside Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh, found herself at the centre of controversy after an influencer criticised her PR strategy in a video. Gabbi, however, has now responded in her own unique way.
Social media influencer Nadeesh Bhambi recently shared a video titled "Wamiqa Gabbi's PR Team Meeting."
The video critiques various topics from reels mentioning Gabbi, which Bhambi suggests are part of her PR strategy.?
These include phrases like "New national crush," "Triptii Dimri who?" and "If Aishwarya had a daughter, she would look like Wamiqa," as well as "Wamiqa can eat 100 Rashmika (Mandanna) and 200 Disha (Patani) for breakfast" and "What Deepika thinks she looks like."?
Bhambi implied that these ideas were endorsed by Gabbi's PR team.
In response, the Khufiya actor shared a playful message, writing, "Talented aur Khoobsurat bhi? Uff, Thaaaank you. And baki sab ka pata nahi but we did try 'Wamiqa for next President!' Approve nahi hua."? (Talented and beautiful too? Thank you. And as for the rest, I don't know, but we did try 'Wamiqa for next President!' It wasn't approved).
Bhambi replied, "Talented aur khoobsurat toh aap ho hi. Loved you in Jubilee. President ke liye vote nahi hota iss desh mein warna mera vote toh mil hi jaata aapko." (Talented and beautiful, you are indeed. Loved you in Jubilee. In this country, we don't vote for president, otherwise, my vote would have surely gone to you).
However, he also added, "Bas aapki PR team ko thoda chill karao, acchi khaasi actress ka naam kharab karne mein lage hain." (But please tell your PR team to chill a bit; they're busy ruining the name of a perfectly good actress).
Gabbi, not holding back, responded with, "Hum aahe bhi bharte hai toh ho jaate hai badnaam, woh katl bhi karte hai toh charcha nahi hota." (Even when we sigh, we become infamous. Even when they kill, there is no discussion.)
Wamiqa Gabbi was recently seen in the Varun Dhawan starrer Baby John, which didn't meet box office expectations.
She had made her acting debut in the 2007 film Jab We Met and later found success in Punjabi films.
Gabbi has also appeared in Tamil's Maalai Naerathu Mayakkam (2016) and Malayalam's Godha (2017).
