T-Series Chairman Bhushan Kumar and MrBeast, the world's most-followed YouTuber, recently met, leading to a surprising outcome. In the collab video posted by T-Series, after years of subscriber rivalry, the two decided to subscribe to each other¡¯s channels on YouTube. Social media users have dubbed this unexpected gesture the "biggest collab ever."
T-Series shared a video on Instagram with the caption, "We got MrBeast to subscribe to T-Series."
The clip shows Jimmy Donaldson, famously known as MrBeast, meeting Bhushan Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of T-Series.?
MrBeast shares that he travelled to India with a unique proposal for Kumar: "If you subscribe to my channel, I'll subscribe to T-Series."
Kumar readily accepts the deal, pressing the subscribe button on MrBeast's channel.
Then, MrBeast initially pretends his phone has died, delaying his turn to subscribe.?
But seconds later, he follows through, officially subscribing to T-Series and announced the conclusion of their years of "sub race."
The video quickly went viral, amassing over 800,000 views, with fans labelling it the "biggest collaboration" and some exclaiming, "Ye toh bawaal hogaya."
The feud between MrBeast and T-Series stems from a broader YouTube rivalry that started in 2018, when PewDiePie¡ªthe then-most-subscribed YouTube creator¡ªcompeted with T-Series, an Indian music label, for the top spot on the platform.?
MrBeast, a vocal PewDiePie supporter, became involved by launching a massive campaign to help PewDiePie maintain his subscriber lead.?
This included creating memes, running ads, and even producing videos urging fans to subscribe to PewDiePie instead of T-Series.
T-Series eventually overtook PewDiePie, becoming the most-subscribed channel in 2019. However, MrBeast continued to grow his channel, aiming to eventually surpass T-Series.?
His rivalry with the label has been framed as a continuation of the creator vs. corporation battle that characterised the PewDiePie vs. T-Series narrative.
The rivalry was all in good fun, and as this video shows, it all worked out in the end!
