¡°He¡¯s doing more work here than he ever did as president,¡± said a Twitterati as they reacted to the Former US President making fries at McDonald's. On October 20, Donald Trump stepped out at a Pennsylvania outlet of the popular food chain and cooked both snacks and words as the internet sat down with popcorn to enjoy.
Mr Donald¡¯s outing was a part of his electoral campaign ahead of the presidential polls this November. This move by the 78-year-old was just to challenge Vice-President Kamala Harris¡¯ stance on her ¡®middle-class background¡¯ claim. Harris had previously mentioned her time working at McDonalds multiple times during her rallies and campaign speeches.
Trump took a subtle dig at the Democrat nominee and said, "Look at the crowd over here. They are so happy because they have hope. they need hope. I have now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala." For a quick recap, Pennsylvania is a key state for the upcoming elections and that¡¯s why both Trump and Harris are focusing largely on holding frequent rallies and campaign events there.
The videos and pictures of this outing went viral in no time and several users flooded the internet with a sea of reactions. One supporter commented, "I have not been to McDonald's in years. I am craving some fries badly. Make America great again. God Bless Donald Trump. McDonald's sure is loving him today."
Another tweeted, "As a minimum wage worker, it feels disrespectful when billionaires cosplay poor like this¡" ¡°I heard someone say he¡¯s practising for the kitchen prison,¡± the third said. The political mood in the US is heated and so is meme space. Tell us what are you enjoying the most @indiatimes.
