On Sunday, a woman from the United States jumped into a Bengal tiger exhibit at the Cohanzick Zoo in New Jersey, nearly being bitten by the wild cat. As the tiger crept inches ahead of her, the woman pushed her fingers through the inner netting.
The Bridgeton Police Department confirmed the event on Facebook and shared a video of the woman uncomfortably near to the tiger. Later, the department removed the video. However, by then, the video had spread across other social media channels.
Fox reporter Steve Keeley shared the video on his X page. The video shows a woman wearing a dark top and white shorts standing next to a tiger. She tried to poke it with her hand.?
The tiger swatted and tried to bite the woman's hand before she climbed back over the wooden barrier to exit the enclosure. According to the original police department article regarding the incident, she was almost wounded.
In his post, Keeley also added, "Despite the signs that clearly state 'Do Not Climb Over The Fence' at Fence at the Cohanzick Zoo in Cumberland County, Bridgeton Police hope the public can help them identify the woman who nearly got bit by one of the two 7-year-old, 500-pound tigers who live there.¡±
