Two sixes, then gone! Mayank Yadav sends Rohit Sharma packing — MI fans can't believe it

In a mid-table clash at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai Indians (MI) faced off against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), with both teams coming into the match with identical records: five wins and four losses. But just when it looked like Rohit was setting up for another big score, Mayank Yadav struck back.

2.5 overs: Mayank Yadav bowled a clever slower short ball wide outside off. Rohit Sharma, with no footwork, attempted to steer it fine but mistimed it badly, scooping it straight to Prince Yadav at short third man. He departed for 12 runs off 5 balls.

Mayank Yadav was visibly pumped — and why not? In this battle, it was the young pacer who had the last laugh.

Seeing Rohit Sharma get off to a strong start but fail to convert it into big runs dampened the mood of many MI fans. Many on X (formerly known as Twitter) expressed their disappointment over his early departure at his home ground.
