Earlier in January, the BCCI enforced a strict rule of restricting the time players spend with their families on the tour, which came in the wake of the Test series loss in Australia.
As per the rule, the immediate families, partners, and children can stay with the players for two weeks if the tour lasts for over 45 days. In the case of the shorter tours, the time will be reduced to seven days only.
BCCI initially restricted the families from accompanying the players in Dubai for the Champions Trophy, which is going to last for just three weeks.
As mentioned, Virat Kohli is set to play his 300th ODI game on Sunday. With this match, he will become the seventh Indian cricketer to reach the milestone to achieve.
Before Virat Kohli, other players such as Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni were the ones who achieved it. Additionally, Kohli will be the 23rd international player to achieve the feat after Windies legend Chris Gayle, who achieved it first in 2019.
