When you travel via an aeroplane and pay for your pre-packed meal in advance, you expect nothing but the best quality food. You expect the food to be served hot and definitely don't envision it with a 'dental implant'.
Sadly, for a passenger travelling via British Airways, things were different. The passenger complained about finding a dental implant in the meal served during the flight.??
Ghada El-Hoss was on?a flight travelling home to the United Arab Emirates when she allegedly made the bizarre discovery.?Taking to Twitter, the furious passenger tagged?British Airways and shared a photo of her meal for reference.
In her post, El-Hoss said: ¡°@British_Airways Still waiting to hear from you regarding this dental implant we found in our food on?flight BA107 from London to Dubai on Oct. 25 (we have all our teeth: it's not ours). This is appalling. I also can't get through to anyone from your call center."
The?photo shows what appears to be a dental implant wrapped in a napkin. It¡¯s pictured alongside an in-flight meal of rice and broccoli.
British Airways replied to the passenger¡¯s tweet the same day it was posted, saying to El-Hoss: "Hi there, we're really sorry to see this! Did you give our cabin crew your details for our Customer Relations team to contact you? For security, please send us any personal details by DM."
Many people reacted to El-Hoss' post on Twitter.
"Can I see more of it? I¡¯m a dental implant specialist and I¡¯m really curious," a person said.?
"This made my day Looks like a corn kernel," a second person said.?
"Did you tell the crew ?? They would have taken the ¡®implant¡¯ and sent it for examination as is standard with all foreign objects found in catering . If you didn¡¯t , sadly there¡¯s nothing the company can do," another person added.?
It¡¯s not the first time an unwelcome foreign object has been found in an in-flight meal.?In October, a passenger travelling via Vistara Airlines complained about finding a dead insect in his meal served during the flight.
The passenger, Nikul Solanki, also tweeted about the same, showing the food with the insect, which was a dead cockroach, inside it.?He shared pictures of his food, which was idli-sambhar and upma, in which he found the dead cockroach.
Solanki tweeted, saying, "Small cockroach in air Vistara meal."?
Following the tweet, the official Twitter handle of Vistara Airlines acknowledged it. They swiftly replied to Solanki's tweet. "Hello Nikul, all our meals are prepared keeping the highest standards of quality in mind. Please send us your flight details over DM so we can look into the matter and address the issue at the earliest," the airline replied.??
