A Ludhiana man alleges that money was taken from his FASTag while he was "chilling at home." Sunderdeep Singh, CEO of Prinspire Technologies, shared a screenshot of a message telling him that ?220 was debited from his account at a toll booth in Punjab.
FASTag is a device that employs Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to collect toll payments electronically. It is attached to the windshield of a vehicle and is linked to a prepaid account.
Money was debited from Singh's FASTag account despite the fact that he had not passed through the toll booth. "Money is deducted while I am at home, and I haven't even travelled that route this month." "What's going on?" the Ludhiana-based CEO inquired on the social media platform X.
The screenshot he supplied reveals that ?220 was deducted as a toll at Ladowal Toll Plaza on August 14th. Singh claimed he had not gone near the highway in days because he wanted an answer from FASTag officials.
The comments section of his X article, which contains identical complaints from people around the country, demonstrates the disadvantages of relying only on this technology.
The CEO was not the only man who went through this, other people also shared similar encounters. Here's what people said.?
