A multimillionaire who considers himself a 'biohacker' and believes he's going to live until he's 180 years old, has apparently disturbed some people by claiming that missing breakfast every day to 'feel better' about yourself is the secret to longevity.
In an effort to survive for as long as he can, Dave Asprey has spent more than $1,000,000 out of his own pocket. He joined Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield for a virtual conversation about how he's been doing that.
In short, his approaches include cycles of fasting intermittently, treatments with cryotherapy, and deep sleep.
He believes that his methods cause the body to 'make energy differently' and will lead him to live two lives.
Dave reportedly said, "Skipping breakfast is really important. If you can learn the simple trick of intermittent fasting, what you find is that you have more energy that day, you start to lose weight and you start to feel better. The other thing you can do to live longer is have dinner early. If you have dinner just an hour earlier, it gives you one more hour when your body goes in and repairs itself. If you always have food in your stomach, your body's digesting the food instead of repairing yourself."
He was then asked, ¡°What will your quality of life be like by then?¡±

He replied, "My problem with it is, I wouldn't want to live to 180 unless everyone lived with me, because I wouldn't want to get to 180 and watch my children pass away. I couldn't cope with that, it's not the natural order of life."
Not everyone is so convinced by Dave's plans to live for two lifetimes. In fact, some people were downright annoyed at his claims, as well as his suggestions.
One person tweeted: ¡®Hoping people with eating disorders are taking absolutely no notice of this,¡¯ while another joked, ¡®You wouldn't want to see me if I skipped breakfast. I'd not only shorten my life but probably someone else's too¡¯.

A third said, ¡®Skip breakfast and you'll have more energy. How come lots of research was done into skipping breakfast and it's known you need to eat breakfast for energy and brain power?'.
Sadly, none of us might be alive to see if 180 years from now, Dave is alive.
