A man in Florida, US, was arrested after he reportedly shot at a PlayStation 4 video game console during an argument with his stepson.
The incident took place?in October when?Byron Haynes, 41, was yelling at his stepdaughter and the boy tried to intervene, according to?Altamonte Springs?police.?
Haynes began arguing with his stepson and later went to retrieve a gun from his bedroom.? ??He then pistol-whipped the console before shooting the PS4, as per the?arrest documents.?
The stepson, a minor, told the police his stepfather pointed a gun at him, hurled expletives, and told him to get out of the room and eventually the house.
It was at this point that the young child called his mother to come pick him up at the residence.
Upon being questioned about the incident, Haynes?claimed he had accidentally fired the gun while beating the PlayStation 4.? ?
As per the records, he also claimed that he never pointed the gun at his son.
Haynes was arrested and charged with ¡°aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, child neglect without great bodily harm and firing a weapon in a residential area."?
The incident precedes another shooting episode that was caused by an argument?over a PlayStation account in Florida.?
According to an arrest report, 23-year-old Javon Knight, known by the street name ¡°Jit,¡± shot his neighbor.?
The neighbour told police that he had arrived home after his live-in girlfriend informed him of an argument between Knight and an unidentified witness over the account.
As the victim pulled up into his driveway, Knight began arguing with him, police wrote.
Police said the victim told Knight: ¡°You can say what you want, just stay over there.¡± To which,?Knight responded: ¡°I got something for you,¡± police said.
Police said Knight got out of the car with an AK-47 and pointed it at the victim, who then pulled out his own gun in self-defense and shot at Knight.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his left ankle, and police wrote that the witness corroborated his story.
Police wrote that Knight ¡°appeared to be intoxicated¡± and was ¡°acting erratically¡± when police took him into custody.
Knight faces charges of attempted murder and resisting arrest.
