Who should pay the bill after the date has been a longstanding debate, but now a new dating dilemma has come forward! Some might call it a scam with all the news about men being scammed on/after dates, but this is a curious case of upfront demands. Unapologetic, unabashed, if we might add. We live in a world where men are believed to bear expenses for a date because it's something a man is "getting" from a girl like it's a privilege.?
Few are cases when both parties feel equally elated to be on the date and share the expenses. Here's what happened.?
In a tweet, shared by?Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj, who is a journalist, filmmaker and social activist according to her X bio, two screenshots are posted of a conversation that happened on WhatsApp between the girl and the date, assumingly before the date. "Dating in India ain't for beginners....," Bhardwaj captioned the screenshots.?

In the screenshot, the date asks to meet the girl for coffee. She responded with a "sure" and following that suggested that they should meet in the evening at 7 pm.?
Now ordinarily, that should be enough as a date confirmation, but the girl doesn't stop there, she goes on with her unreasonable demands. She further texts, "Send me money first to get ready for this coffee date.Waxing, Manicure, Nails, Pedicure, My favourite dress, Shoes and Makeup. Total is 10k."
Providing a UPI id for money she also adds, "Free dates aren't exciting these days.?And being expensive?for?me."?
There is another screenshot with far terrible demands, you can scroll to the end to see the viral screenshot.?
Naturally, the post started a conversation about how men are subjected to such degrading demands. A user added, "And the sad part is that so many boys/Men are ready the bear these expenses."
