Social media user @deisgnerdada recently expressed anger over Goibibo's sending travel notifications to his phone's contact list on X, formerly Twitter.
Travellers, social media users, and passengers all became quite interested in this episode and engaged in a passionate conversation about it very quickly.
The first post by @deisgnerdada, in which he criticised Goibibo, made clear how frustrated he was. He wrote, "How can you send SMS about me completing a trip to my phone contacts? Are you out of your mind?"
The X user had concerns and asked customer service to provide more information.
In response, Goibibo said that the app specifically states that trip notifications will be sent to the user's contacts, along with a notice about synchronising contacts, and that the customer had approved of this behaviour.
