Some landlords turn out to be your worst nightmare, and something similar happened with this woman. One pea being left in the freezer is just one of the "hilarious" reasons why a TikToker didn't receive her full deposit back after vacating her property.
"For anyone wondering, they took ?210 for all this damage," the video was captioned.
Posting the clip, Matilda wrote: "Rating the reasons we're not getting our full deposit back."
"A single pea in the freezer at 6/10 must have been hard to clean that up."
The next scene in the video reveals a bottle of Febreze lying on the ground in one of the rooms, which Matilda jokingly said could have been an issue because the landlord didn't like its unique scent.
Matilda went on: "Someone left a Febreze bottle on 4/10. Maybe they didn't like the smell. "
She said: "The dehumidifier that belongs to them that they didn't pick up all year 7/10. You're right. That's our fault, babes."
"[The landlord] must have needed a whole cleaning crew to sort that out."
Matilda cannot assign a score to the final picture since it is too hazy to interpret.
She said: "Don't even know what this is supposed to be ???/10."
The video shared last year resurfaced on the internet and recently became viral. People echoed her sentiments and shared how they had gone through the same thing. Some even urged her to fight the charges.
A netizen wrote: "Please tell me you appealed this - there is no legitimate loss there that the landlord can claim for."
Another one joined the debate and said, "I know it's not funny, but that is hilarious. I hope you appeal and get your money back." Another TikToker wrote: "Someone I know left a bottle of wine for the new tenants who were moving in later that day and were charged for leaving something behind."
