Even though the Vikram Lander and Pragyan rover was only sometime ago successfully separated from the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter, the mission itself landed in Bengaluru. Confused? So were the residents of Herohalli when the saw an Astronaut in their vicinity. In the evening of September 1, pedestrians and vehicle drivers wondered if Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) decided to land its Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft in Herohali and that too with an astronaut!
In the video below you can see an Astronaut, walking over the huge craters of the moon. The only difference is that, the moon here is a road in Herohali, Bengaluru and the craters are the huge potholes on that road.?
?
The video is by Bangalore Mirror, and was shot by?Anantha Subramanyam.?
Roads in Bengaluru reportedly have more than 15,935 deadly potholes. Looks like it is in tough competition with the craters on the moon.
To bring the condition of deadly roads to the notice of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), artist Badal Nanjundaswamy, came up with a unique idea. Nanjundaswamy is known to highlight infrastructure problems in his city.?
He got another artist on board, Poornachandra Mysore, to perform the moonwalk on Tunganagar Main Road, which in the video, barely looks different from the moon surface. This video was made to debunk the claims made by the government that it was developing the city.?
Might we say, that's one hell of an idea!
