Proposing to someone requires meticulous planning and finding the perfect moment. In addition, you want everything else to fall into place.?
Unfortunately, one couple's big moment went horribly wrong after the groom-to-be dropped the ring through decking and into the lake.?
Ross Bamber had it all planned perfectly to make the marriage proposal extra special. The couple had hired a luxury shepherd's hut and deck at Wispy Meadows in Watton, UK, where Bamber planned to surprise his partner.
He had even set up a camera to record the perfect moment with partner Gerii Ashforth at the Norfolk lake. But the video intended to document the big moment instead captures the moment the ring fell out of its box before dropping into the lake.?
Bamber looks in horror at Gerii, who says to him "That wasn't what I thought it was, was it?" while covering her eyes with her hands.??
While their friends came over and tried to retrieve the ring from the lake, they were unsuccessful in their attempts.?They even tried a magnet, but the ring was white gold so that did not work, he said.
The following day the couple went into Norwich and bought another ring, and recreated the scene for the camera.
This time it all went to plan and the couple are now engaged.
The couple's engagement video has gone viral on TikTok with more than three million views.??
Earlier this month,?a couple's big moment was ruined when an overzealous Disneyland employee interrupted what would have been a fairytale marriage?proposal?inside the amusement park.
In the now-viral clip, a man?dressed for the occasion can be seen getting down on his knee,?holding the ring out to his partner.?It was all going well until?a male employee?bolted on stage, snapped the ring out of the man's hand and?urged the couple to come down.
The confused couple looks at the man before they follow him.
¡°She said, ¡®yes,¡¯¡± the man tells the employee.
¡°Yes, that¡¯s great,¡± the worker responds, ¡°but over here will be even better,¡± as he motions to the girl to come down.
Disneyland later apologised to the couple and promised to make it right.?
"We regret how this was handled, We have apologized to the couple involved and offered to make it right," a Disney spokesperson told?Newsweek.?
