It is rightly said that a pizza will reach you before the ambulance does. But in this case it was even worse - a man travelled for four hours - 300 km - to reach his injured mother and managed to reach before the ambulance did.

The first call to the ambulance service was at 9 am which means that Clement¡¯s mother had to wait for seven hours to receive medical help, according to the Daily Mail.
"My mother was lying in an awkward position on a cold conservatory floor and was unable to move," Clements told?BBC. "An ambulance station is less than 10 minutes from my mother's home," he added.
"'Despite our attempts to keep her warm, my mother was extremely cold, distressed and in so much pain that she said she just wanted to die. It was really hard on my father. He was very worried," he told Daily Mail.
After this, the South Western Ambulance Service apologised for the delay and said it was experiencing "an unprecedented rise in demand¡±. They also said that they were sorry for not being able to reach the patient sooner.
Clements mother was taken to the hospital immediately after he came, and she had a hip operation on January 3. She is still recovering.
